Alpha Legion Storm Eagle - approaching completion

It is not finished yet. But its getting rather close! I'm just going to leave this picture here and the link to the base coat stage so you can see the difference. Note the lighting here is artificial -- it looks a hell of a lot better in natural daylight -- the blue really sparkles. To say that I've spent a long time painting this miniature would be an understatement. It's becoming so close to being finished now!

Looking ace! I really like your approach at the alpha legion colour scheme, although (or because?) it is so very different from my own.also really liking those reviews, and generally your blog!

Beautiful as always mate! I really like the faded weathering, looks very realistic. Can't wait to see it done and more of the army complete in general! I must start mine properly soon... I've just been putting off building the second fire raptor...

Thanks guys -- I appreciate that. Yes, the colour scheme is not the bright sparkly blue that we see elsewhere, but more of a grimmer, darker shiny blue to give it a bit of an … edge perhaps?
