The praetor and the Gal Vorbak leader have been set to one side for their own challenge. This leaves 10 assault squad members with chain swords and combat shields, the assault squad sergeant with twin lightning claws, and an apothecary to fight against 5 Gal Vorbak.
Which side do the dice favour?!

Jokes aside, I'd say that much of the result is in the hand of the Praetor and the sergeant....the former is attacking at I7 with D2 on the phoenix power lance (I guess it's one of those) and should make a short work of the squad leader. The latter is the only model that penetrates gal vorbak's armour and strikes (as his squad do) at the same I than the WB. I guess the combat outside the challenge can swing quite easily in favour of the WB.
With T 5 and phage strength the assault marines will barely scratch the gal vorbak especially after t1, and even the praetor with spear or paragon blade will have a pretty hard time. Whereas gal vorbak are AP3 base now and ws5. I think the gal vorbak win by a lot here.
ReplyDeleteOutcome. There were some lucky rolls. However, the Emperor's Children were wiped. They did take down 3 of the Gal Vorbak in doing so though.
